Hummus base (light and tasty)


  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 4 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1 clove of garlic (cut in fine slices)
  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Combine ingredients (except salt and pepper) in blender or foodprocessor, and blend to at thick paste, adjust with salt and pepper to taste.
Use immediately or store in refrigerator for 1 to 2 days.

This tastes great on its own, but can easily be enhanced with lots of other herbs and spices.

  • Smoked paprika (Pimenton)
  • Spring onion
  • Sage
  • And so on . . . . .
